Rhyd-ddu Rhosyn

1991 - 2014

Rhosyn was the foundation of the Erwwastad stud,but also excelled in the showring as a youngster, winning both Lampeter stallion show and Glanusk, as well as being placed 2nd at the Royal Welsh on three occasions.

Erwwastad Rhian

Sire: Nebo Bouncer

Dam: Rhyd-ddu Rhosyn

1995 - 2018

Rhian was the ultimate show filly and would come alive when entering the ring. She was a youngstock champion at the RASE as a yearling and won the RWAS on two occasions, being reserve youngstock champion in 1997.

Erwwastad Amber-Rose

Sire: Nebo Bouncer

Dam: Rhyd-ddu Rhosyn

1996 - 2020

"Always the bridesmaid, and never the bride"

Amber-Rose was a tremendously consistent show filly / mare, winning several bronze medals. However, she never managed to win at one of the big three shows, being placed third in Lampeter stallion show (twice), second at Glanusk (twice) and third at the Royal Welsh (thrice). However, she did breed two HOYS ridden qualifiers.

Carys was unshown until a 3yo, and managed to be placed second at Lampeter, Glanusk and the Royal Welsh in 2002.

2000 - 2014

Ffion was not a fan of the showring, however her offspring were and these include:

Ponies bred by / or previously owned by the stud have gone on to give a great amount of pleasure to their new owners in many different disciplines, listed below are a few of the ponies that have gone on to be very succesful both at home and on the continent.

Glanllwchwr Jubilation

Jubilation is now owned by Tom and Anne Booth, and has been shown with great success in 2014. His winnings include being placed 4th in a very strong 2yo colt class, and 4th again in the 2015, 3yo colt class at the Royal Welsh.

Jubilation had yet another successful Royal Welsh in 2016, where he was placed 5th in the open stallion class, aged 4.

In 2017, Charlie was placed 2nd at the Royal Welsh (Section C harness class), as well as gaining several performance championships which allowed Erw-Wastad Rhys to win the Tireve performance trophy at the WPCS AGM (April 2018)

In 2019, Charlie qualified for HOYS (champion driven in the Royal Three counties) in the private drive class.

Hardys Lincoln

Lincoln was the stud stallion at Erw-Wastad for 18 years, and during that time sired many supreme champions (including 2 HOYS qualifiers) and won both bronze and silver WPCS medals.

(Welsh Section A, foaled 2010)

Sensei has now returned to the Cwmtawe stud.

Lily was our first show filly, and won over 30 first prizes in youngstock classes, as well as being the second placed 2yo filly in the 1990 RWAS and fourth in Lampeter stallion show as a yearling. Unfortunately we lost Lily to colic as a 10yo, but in that time she bred some outstanding youngstock when paired with Pantanamlwg Red Fox; these include:

Erwwastad Llwynog (Multi-discipline show winner and sire of top price foals)

Pantydwr Mister Nice Guy

He is a grandson of Rhyd-ddu Lilwen (son of Erw-Wastad Lilwen).

Winner of the Welsh Cob stallion class (under saddle) at the 2015 Royal Welsh show, shown to perfection by his owner Ashley Peers.
